2016 Dijon 115 Pinot Noir
The clone is sometimes referred to as “tiny hand grenades” for the enormous punch it packs. Our Dijon 115 no exception, it is big, bold and beautiful. The wine, produced off block 8A of Hyland Vineyard boasts a floral nose laced with rose petals, smoky black cherry, leather, tobacco and a hint of anise. The wine has a more refined, harmonious mouthfeel than the previous vintage with very smooth, integrated tannins. The attack hits with cherry and plum notes with a hint of vanilla on the mid-palate and is complimented with tea leaves and Mediterranean spices on the finish. This wine can be enjoyed now for its hedonism or cellared over the next 10-15 years.
"There’s plenty of spicy oak here with a toasty, cedary edge to the brambly red-fruit aromas. The palate has a brash and punchy texture with a long sleeve of ripe red-cherry and plum flavor. Drink or hold." -James Suckling
