Throwback to Hyland's very first release from the Winemaker Series.  The classic 2017 vintage showcases the aromatic spice & savory depth of the Block 3C Pinot Noir, aka Hyland's original own-rooted plantings of Coury Clone from the early 1970's.  Alongside the Winemaker Series Chardonnay, sourced from a Massale selected block on the high elevation north side of the vineyard.  With 14 months in barrel, this wine is at once generous (with layered rounded textures) and restrained, showing elegant fruit and soft chalky minerality.  For those that know, this is the ultimate Hyland collectible.
