This wine was opened and decanted for 15 minutes. Every couple of minutes with some swirling, it brought out new and desirable aromas. Strawberry Twizzlers, blackberries, earth, leather, tabacco and chutney on the nose. On the mouth, a burst of blackberry pie, juicy in the mid-pallate and lengthy on the finish. This years' Pommard is partially whole-cluster, which bring a nice bramble and spice component into play.
